I've been a maker all my life. After art school and then having children, I fell in love with clay and functional pottery. In 2000, I was captivated by salt-glazing. I love the earthy colours, the varied, tactile, orange-peel surface and the way the salt glaze shows the evidence of making.

I make my work in Vancouver and fire in my salt kiln at the Tidal Art Centre in Lund, B.C. which is two ferries away, but close to our remote cabin in Desolation Sound. Kayaking along that coastline and cross-country skiing on the North Shore mountains immerse me in the sublime beauty of nature.
I have a BFA from the University of B.C. and I studied for several years with the potter Sam Kwan at Capilano College. I have a wonderful, supportive partner and two adult children who are amazing creatives.

You can find my work at Circle Craft Gallery on Granville Island in Vancouver BC, or in the summer months at the Refuge Cove Gallery in Desolation Sound, BC. Please feel free to contact me if you'd like to visit my home studio in North Vancouver.
